REQUIREMENTS :

You need to have a Matric or equivalent at least with a minimum of two years’ experience working with data management systems such as DHIS and Tier.NET in the public health sector (e.g., health facilities, sub-district offices, district offices). Candidate must have the ability to work well in a team as well as independently. Having a DHIS and/or Tier.NET certificate is an added bonus, as is having a valid driver’s license. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

There will be a practical assessment of your skills in using these programs. The ability to consolidate, verify and validate data effectively and efficiently. Problem solving, analytical and numeric skills. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the HAST program and records management, as well as good written and verbal communication skills, accountability, and ethical conduct. Must have planning and organizational skills.

DUTIES :

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily collecting data from different service points or registers, capturing, verifying and validating collected health data from PHC facilities and hospitals in the district and providing feedback reports to relevant service points.-Collating, capturing and providing data for programme monthly and quarterly progress reporting using prescribed data management software of the department.

Following up on incomplete data and information, providing feedback to end users for corrections.-Handle and resolve data queries as they arise. Preparing daily, weekly, monthly data as requested. Participate in audit of performance information by the facility, sub district, district, provincial data teams,- Auditor General of South Africa and Internal Auditors .Performing office administrative duties as shall be assigned.-
