Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development in Gauteng (Pretoria) is looking for 3x Supply chain clerks. They will be working under the following directorate: Logistics and Asset management Services.

SALARY: Level is 5 (Package is R181 600 p/a)

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must hold a Grade 12 Certificate. No prior knowledge necessary. Job-related skills include the ability to gather data, use a computer, and compile statistics in addition to a basic understanding of supply chain responsibilities. basic familiarity with and comprehension of the legal system that governs the Public Service. basic understanding of job practices in terms of the workplace. Job-related abilities include organization and planning skills, Computer skills, Linguistic skills, Excellent communication skills (verbal as well as written) and Interpersonal interactions. Flexibility. ability to cooperate in a group.

DUTIES : Provide administrative assistance for asset management. Create and keep records, such as databases or asset records. Examine and distribute furnishings, tools, and accessories to parts and people. Identify for disposal any redundant, broken, or old equipment. Examine the asset register. Provide administrative support for acquisition and demand. Maintain and maintain a database of suppliers, including contractors. LOGIS or a comparable system should be used to register vendors. Request quotes, then get them.

Provide requirements in the electronic purchasing system. Put in orders. Publish and obtain bid documentation. Provide secretarial or logistical help during the evaluation of bids and the contracting process. As needed, compile draft documents.

Provide support services for logistics. place a purchase order. Get supplies and check the products. Enter products into databases for registers. Get product orders from customers. Provide products to consumers. upkeep of inventory registers. Maintain and update the supplier database.
