Duties :
The Laundry Assistant is responsible for sorting, counting and recording laundry items, as well as operating the laundry machines. They also load and unload trucks with dirty and clean laundry, and count and record the number of items. Additionally, they prepare linen for the ironing department and may be required to work shifts.

A Laundry Assistant needs to have excellent communication skills and good organizational abilities are key qualities of a successful Laundry Assistant. Usually working alone, they are overseen by a General Manager who makes sure the work done during their shift meets the establishment’s standards.
The most important knowledge areas for laundry are public safety and security, and customer and personal service.

To promote effective security operations and protect people, data, property, and institutions, it is essential to be familiar with relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies.
